About Gitta Designs

Welcome to Gitta Designs! I am Brigitte (Gitta) - living & knitting in a little lakeside village in Aotearoa New Zealand. 

My Nana taught me to knit from a young age - she would always be asking for projects to knit up and I loved finding new designs for her to create. 

Gitta Designs is focused solely around handknitted garments using my own designs. They are garments I want to wear myself and to keep them all! Creating colourful garments and watching them grow as I knit away is incredibly satisfying and is my happy place (and my therapy).
